Meatball Sauce

Meatball Sauce

This is a sauce for meatballs that is quick and easy to make with great flavor that will definitely compliment any recipe for meatballs. Whether it be for a meatball sub recipe or you're learning how to make Italian Meatballs for the first time, a great sauce is a must.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium garlic clove, pressed or minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes(28oz)
  • 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced basil leaves
  • Cooking Instruction

    1. Add olive oil and garlic to a medium heated pan, scraping the brown bits on the bottom of the pan, until garlic is a golden brown color, about 30-45 seconds.

    2. Add crushed tomatoes, simmer about 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens.

    3. Stir in salt, pepper and basil.

    4. Add the browned meatballs and simmer about 4-5 minutes turning them occasionally until heated through. Serve
